We are excited to announce that we are entering the 2nd stage of Places of Welcome! The renter that came with our house when we bought it has moved out. We now have full access to the upstairs apartment which Places of Welcome will be renting and doing major renovations to make the space usable to host people and offer hospitality. We are excited about this next step but also know that a lot of work is ahead of us.

On March 1st we began gutting the bathroom, bedroom and kitchen, as well as fixing some electrical issues. We will also be adding sound proofing and laying new flooring throughout the whole apartment, updating the kitchen and making sure everything is up to code. Our goal is to have all the major pieces of the renovation done by the end of March which is when our first guests are scheduled to move in.
