Ben & Teresa Pothier
Ben and Teresa have been travelers intent on literally meeting people where they are at with the love of Christ. For over 20 years, they have traveled around the United States to connect with individuals of all walks of life to provide food, serve, and be a light that reflects the love of Jesus Christ. Their goal has been to create places of welcome in the margins where they can meet people’s needs and also share God’s deep love and forgiveness.
Their journey has included hosting the Jesus Kitchen at Rainbow Gatherings, serving thousands of meals to the homeless, connecting young people with residential mentoring programs, facilitating and training outreach teams, and so much more.
Ben and Teresa love to live and work with all different kinds of people from all different walks of life. Places of Welcome has been a dream of theirs in the making for years and they are excited to see it come to life. They are excited to continue working with travelers throughout the United States but are also looking forward to having a more permanent place to raise their two young kids. They are currently settled down in St. Paul, MN and are working to get Places of Welcome off the ground as well as creating a new permanent place of welcome where they can offer radical hospitality to those that may wander through.
