Ritzco Grant

In October, we were given the opportunity to apply for an internal grant through The Cause, called the Ritzco Grant. The project we wanted to use the grant for, if we received it, was to finish The Duplex Renovation project. We worked hard on completing the grant application, making a video and setting a timeline and budget.

At the end of last week, we found out that we were one of the grant award winners!

We are so excited and thankful!!

With this grant, we should be able to complete a large part of the important work that needs to be done on The Duplex apartment. This includes finishing the kitchen, paint, trim and installing a washer and dryer.

Global Ally

This year, The Cause launched a new program called Global Alliance. The Global Alliance is a program that is:

“uniting international, grassroots leaders with the people and resources necessary to elevate their global community...Together, we can unite global, grassroots organizations with mission-minded individuals to allow these ministries to be richly equipped and empowered.”

We are so excited to announce that we have been partnered with a Global Ally!! 

What this basically means is that we have been partnered with an individual who will meet with us on a regular basis, who will give us encouragement and empower us to continue on in our work with Places of Welcome.

Things at Places of Welcome are picking up momentum and we are excited!
