Giving Thanks

Our Gratitude Tree

The last few years, we have been doing the tradition of a Gratitude Tree with the kids during the month of November. We usually create the trunk and branches of the tree out of paper and hang it on the wall; this year we collected small branches and put them in a vase. We then make paper leaves and put them in a bowl with a pen. At the start of each day, we share what we are thankful for, write it on a leaf and add it to the tree. It’s always fun to see the crazy, fun things the kids come with. It is always a good reminder of all that we have to be thankful for.

In the spirit of gratitude and thankfulness, we wanted to take time to share with you all that you have helped to make possible with Places of Welcome.

    • Continuing renovations on The Duplex apartment.

    • Forming an advisory board.

    • Working on house property which included putting in a lawn, landscaping and fencing.

    • Hosting a women’s coffee group.

    • Traveling throughout the southern and eastern United States connecting with friends and supporters.

    • And so much more!

It has been a year of hard work! Through it all we have seen God’s goodness and faithfulness. We are looking forward to this next year as we continue to learn and grow and follow God’s heart for creating welcoming hospitality in the margins.

AND we want to say THANK YOU! Thank you for your partnership with us and helping us to make all these things possible.

Many blessings to you in this holiday season!

Ben & Teresa
