Renovation Update

The upstairs apartment is nearly finished. At the moment, we have a family living in the space while they wait on the purchase of their new home. With a lot of long days and great friends and family to help, we were able to make it a livable space. We had to gut out the majority of the apartment, fix electrical and plumbing, put up new walls and ceiling and put Kilz primer on all the walls and ceilings. After our current guests move out, the next step will be new floors and to finish the mudding and painting. While the space is being lived in, we changed our focus to the property outside.

This spring, Teresa applied for and won a grant for the specific purpose of planting a native pollinator garden. She has been working hard to clear out the front hill of our property and transform it into said native pollinator garden. We also created a couple of raised bed gardens and a pergola. We will hopefully start on the lawn soon, which is currently overwhelmed with years of unkempt flower beds and landscaping.
